• Open to remote work, but must be able to get to our HQ in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on a regular basis

About the position

Every new startup company needs one thing, more than anything else, in order to thrive: customers. This role is focused on working with potential portfolio companies, to understand who their customers might be. 

• The main objective of this role is to facilitate the customer discovery process as we evaluate potential investments in portfolio companies.  

• You’ll research different markets and opportunities, coalescing and presenting that information in succinct form. 

• This is a role that requires some serious extroversion: you’re going to be reaching out to those potential customers and interviewing them to understand their situations deeply. 

• Then you’ll translate what you learned into quantifiable insights we can use to evaluate the potential of the company. 

• You’ll also need some substantial math skills to generate reports and measures to help us compare hundreds of investment opportunities over the next few years. 

• Experience with startup software companies, and/or healthcare market experience is extremely beneficial.
